One role of the Oregon Affiliate of ACNM is to inform midwives and consumers of legislative issues that not only affect the practice of midwifery but also the health of women and infants. Our Legislative Committee studies national and state issues and legislation. When action is required, members of Oregon Affiliate ACNM are notified and assisted in taking action.
Members are encouraged to frequently visit the CapWiz through the National office of ACNM. This site offers very easy access to Elected Officials, Legislative Alerts and Updates, and information on Capitol Hill Basics. The Media Guide through CapWiz allows you to contact local and national newspapers, TV and radio stations.
