The focus of this institutional equity series is to help you see the choices you and your organization make and learn how to foster and engage an applied equity analysis to align your outcomes with your intentions.
Together, we will:
Examine the difference between equity and equality
Introduce our sun model, which illustrates how your agency’s values and practices lead directly to your outcomes
Apply a simple equity analysis to a key organizational issue and brainstorm actions you can take to shift toward racial equity in your outcomes
While the concepts are applicable to interrupting multiple systemic oppressions, this training will focus on racial equity rooted in contemporary and historical analysis of anti-Blackness, intersectionality, and systems of white supremacy.
